✅ Turning 65 & Getting on Medicare

A simple checklist from McBride Insurance Store

📅 6 to 9 months before your 65th birthday

☐ Learn about Medicare basics — Parts A, B, C, and D. (Call Tina McBride at 405-309-3221 to schedule a one-on-one educational meeting or attend one of her seminars.)
☐ Decide if you’ll keep working and stay on employer insurance, or if you’ll need Medicare right away.

📝 3  months before turning 65

☐ Sign up for Medicare Parts A & B at ssa.gov, You can call Tina McBride at 405-309-3221 or by calling Social Security at 1-800-772-1213.

Even if you’re already getting Social Security checks, make sure they have your correct address & info.
☐ Ask your current doctors if they accept Medicare.

💊 Decide how you’ll fill the gaps

☐ Will you get:

Original Medicare (Parts A & B) + a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) + a Part D drug plan?

Or a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C) that combines hospital, medical & often drug coverage?
☐ Make a list of your medications & doctors to compare plans with Tina McBride.

🏥 3 months before your 65th birthday

☐ Meet with Tina McBride to review your options — she’ll help you pick a plan that fits your health needs and budget. Call 405-309-3221 to schedule an appointment or go to https://www.insurewithmcbride.co to schedule.
☐ Complete your enrollment paperwork so coverage starts the first day of your birthday month or the first day of the previous month depending on your birthday.

🎉 After you enroll

☐ Watch for your red, white & blue Medicare card (if you didn’t already have it).
☐ Watch for your plan ID cards — keep them with you.
☐ Review your new benefits so you know what’s covered.

You should have A,B, D and a supplement or C and D.  If not you may be penalized.
